In June of 1997, Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone was unleashed on the world, and readers were basically transported to a world comfortably snuggled inside of their own. It was a place where troll clubs levitated and owls could find you anywhere to deliver letter into your waiting magical hands.
Aside from the shamefully delicious amount of fan fiction written about its characters, a theme park, eight movies, video games, and assorted candies, Harry Potter is a 4D adventureland of childhood dreams that dares you to root for the good guy while getting gently detracted by all the details that surround the story.
It's got magic that pretty much spits on physics, heartwarming sincerity, and a whole slew of tangents that inspires one to write to Dumbledore instead of Santa Claus to try and gain entry into Hogwarts, despite being well over the age limit.
Is it a Megaverse? This point is contested by many because the mediums dedicated to the Potterverse merely tell the same story again and again. Redundancy or dedication? You decide.
